The unprofessional conduct of the police at Hongkong has caused Pottinger (Henry Pottinger, Administrator of Hong Kong Government, later became the first Governor) to discharge the entire force and replace it with soldiers. These men have proved inadequate to the task and robberies are out of control. Hong Kong still lacks its own legislature and is fundamentally a garrison town. ..This is the only time in the history of Hong Kong that the Police Force was summarily disbanded.

A number of the Posts end with not “End”, but “To Be Completed” mostly for the reason that I like to hop around topics. I get bored easily if I stay too long on the same topic. I don’t mind boring you … hahaha, but I don’t want to bore myself. I will also leave a post unfinished if my research on a subject person(s) returns the extreme of either too much information that would take me a long time to digest or too few to write something meaningful.
